92% of students do not know what to continue studying, even when they are about to enter the university.

The problem most have is that they have to choose from an overwhelming offer of more than 850 options between university degrees and professional training, without knowing what is done in each of them.

There are studies that show that the level of stress suffered by students when choosing their studies is similar to that suffered by a CEO of a large multinational when he has to make strategic decisions for his company.

It is not surprising, then, that many students confess to feeling lonely.

The school counselor does not have knowledge of the professional field and does not have the tools to help his students, and the parents do not know how to help them more, mainly because it is very different from what they experienced when they had to choose, when the doubt was if you were going to science or letters.

Follow the steps below to help your child in this difficult moment.

1. Identify the talent that your son has and see in which fields and professions he is more suitable. For example, a person dedicated to sales who must spend all day working with the public does not have the same professional DNA as a computer scientist who programs working most of the hours alone. Of the 1,300 professions that exist, make a selection of 5 where it would fit.

2. Each profession has an associated training. To be a doctor, for example, you must do a medical degree. Look at the formations that there are for each of the 5 professions that you have selected.

3. Each career has a better baccalaureate and modality subjects that weigh for selectivity. Select the ones that are best and that help you get the best cut-off grade. In the case of training cycles or professional baccalaureates, make sure that the intermediate level fits with the higher level.

5. Finally, decide on an option that takes into account the fit with your professional DNA and with your academic profile.
